A Perfect Culinary Blend Cooking and Baking Recipes
Christine Burton, born in Wisconsin, to Polish-German decent parents. Held careers in the food service, medical, legal, and K12 paraprofessional fields. She has received Notable Indie and Gold Seal of Literary Excellence for her unique and creative cookbook for teens. While working at K12 schools she assisted students on a daily basis. Students were starting to cook and bake at early ages and needed to have a reference to encourage their future attempts at preparing food in their homes. Her book is written to connect as a resource for the new generation of cooks/bakers. The 21st Century cooks/bakers are starting at the early ages of 4 and 5 years old. Teens are already preparing full course meals and creating their own recipes and cookbooks. Young adults inspired her to create “Teens A League Of Their Own” and convey that is does not matter what your age is, you can cook and bake. Written with young readers in mind, recipes have been kitchen tested by teens using the method of preparing the ingredients ahead and then following the step-by-step instructions and color photo of each recipe. Students participated in the making, testing, and photographing of these recipes. Her book not only reflects teens are in a league of their own in the kitchen arena, but her book can also be used by any age person that wants to develop kitchen skills and be adventurous in creating their own recipes.
Teens and young adults today always rush or are on the go, yet eager to try new recipes and food combinations. The heart of the home is its kitchen, in which generations come together to celebrate time-honored traditions and usher in new ones…
